About the role
- Position Title Maintenance Carpenter Employee Type Regular Office/Department Facilities Work Environment Remote and hybrid positions are open to applicants based in states identified here: Work at Loyola | Loyola University Maryland.
- Essential Functions Conduct inspections of structural components of buildings, including but not limited to roofs, doors, walls, windows, ceilings and floors.
- Conduct seasonal inspection of resident rooms in order to identify and correct deficiencies.
Responsibilities
- The purpose of this position is to perform maintenance and repairs to structural components of buildings.
- Perform repairs to interior and exterior walls, ceilings, floors and other building surfaces.
- Fit, install, and maintain door and window hardware.
- Operate, maintain and ensure adequate supplies, tools, power tools, materials and equipment of the trade or area where assigned.
- Conduct routine inspections and perform routine repairs and maintenance on equipment and tools.
- Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
Requirements
- All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and complete employment eligibility verification by the first day of employment at Loyola University Maryland, as required by law (e.g., Form I-9).
- Install drywall; paint preparation, and paint as required.
- Assist with snow plowing and snow/ice removal campus-wide as required and directed.
- This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

- Final compensation offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, internal equity, and alignment with organizational budget.
