Requirements

  • Must be superior technician with strong diagnostic skills and ability to work well independently.
  • Thorough knowledge of compressed natural gas vehicle programs including compressor function and repair.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others and gain their cooperation.
  • Experience in computerized Fleet Management System and Inventory Control.
  • Assists Supervision in processing and communication regarding orders, payments, applications and other items required for the efficient administration of the Garage area.
  • Must possess all the qualifications and be able to perform the duties of a Garage Mechanic.
  • Formal automotive education with at least 5 years' experience in technical automotive and heavy-duty service.
  • Willingness to accept further education as deemed necessary by supervision.
  • 1. Schedule and assign daily work.
  • 2. Assists Supervision in processing and communication regarding orders, payments, applications and other items required for the efficient administration of the Garage area.
  • 3. Perform diagnosis and repair of vehicles and equipment.
  • 4. Assist Garage Mechanics with diagnostics and repairs as needed.
  • 5. Assist Garage Mechanics in Compressed Natural Gas Vehicle Conversions and Compressor repairs.
  • 6. Assist in the maintenance of Fleet Management System and garage inventory.
  • 7. Coordinate appointments with outside vendors as needed.

Compensation

  • $46k-$54k
