Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with teams across the POET system to assist in the efficiency of information flow.
  • Maintain and update role-specific documentation while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years' experience in accounting or a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office including MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience working with financial statements.
  • Ability to problem-solve and have an analytical mindset.
  • Excellent organizational and time management, as well as the ability to embrace change.
  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Desire to learn and understand the "why" behind your responsibilities.
  • High level of personal integrity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to effectively multi-task
  • Sense of urgency, which drives results

  • As a POET Grain Accountant, you will get the opportunity to work closely with the grain teams at our bioprocessing facilities as well as some of our grain customers.
  • Your position will play an integral role in ensuring accurate payments are issued to grain customers.
  • Process grain settlements and issue accurate, timely payments to grain customers.
