Requirements

  • Must be able to work with complex drawings and to close tolerances.
  • 2 Must be able to use shop mathematics and handbook formulas.
  • Must be able to use all types of precision inspection and checking equipment.
  • 4 Must have successfully completed Client Training Program or be able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and experience.
  • Under general supervision perform such duties as planning and performing all bench and required machine operations, including experimental work
  • constructing or making alterations and repairs to tools, jigs, fixtures, punches, dies, molds, gauges, templates or patterns involving a high degree of skill and thorough knowledge of tool building practices.
  • Lay out work processes and sequences of operations required to fabricate specified tool.
  • Obtain necessary material as specified or required.
  • Perform all required machine and fabricating operations required to produce tool, including heat-treating annealing, hardening, grinding and sharpening.
