Responsibilities
- Work with the Head of 1st Party Energy in the US and our energy colleagues to underwrite onshore energy risks in the North American market in order to build a long-term profitable business.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders internally and with broker counterparts externally
- Champion continuous development of future associates to ensure all team members reach their potential. Help recruit, develop, mentor and provide performance feedback to direct reports.
- Act as a conduit to the International team for input from Brokers, Underwriters and external marketing teams to develop compelling growth propositions
- A great emphasis is placed on long term partnerships with both brokers and assureds and we travel extensively to build and maintain distribution networks and client relationships across the Globe.

Requirements
- Foundational knowledge of property and business interruption underwriting concepts
- Ability to apply technical knowledge to basic risk assessment and underwriting decisions
- US Work Authorization required.
- Demonstrate sound underwriting judgement whilst continuously scrutinizing performance against plan and adjust approach as required
- Prioritize customer experience with best-in-class response times to all stakeholders
- Be active in marketing onshore energy products, including domestic travel and any international as required
