About the role
- Our LPMs are practice group aligned, and contribute to our LPM best practices, tools and techniques, as well as provide user training on our legal project management framework and software.
- HOURS Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with the flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- In Washington, DC, the expected base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $180,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Build deep relationships with partners, lawyers and other business teams.
- Liaise with other business teams (pricing/finance/IT/knowledge/marketing/business development/etc.) and vendors to support partners and their clients/matters.
- Drive and support the implementation, use and development of LPM best practices, tools, software.
Requirements
- Experience with scoping, budgeting, project planning, workflow management, and post-matter reviews.
- Technical skills desired include proficiency in Excel, Power BI (or comparable business intelligence software), HighQ (Collaborate), Smartsheet, SharePoint, Foundation Scoping, and Generative AI tools e.g. Copilot.
- Deep knowledge of law firm financial and management metrics and how day-to-day legal practice interacts with those metrics.
- Ability to build relationships and networks internally and externally, at all levels within the firm.
- Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Large law firm or professional services consultative experience is preferable.
Nice to have
- a JD or MBA is preferred.
- Prior legal project management experience preferred, particularly in a fee-earning capacity, with knowledge of project management methodologies.

- Strong attention to detail, with highly developed organizational skills.
- Be a self-starting go-getter, with an inquisitive mind, and a love for problem-solving.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (writing and editing).
- Work efficiently without direct supervision, with the ability to multitask, and be flexible with changing priorities.

Compensation
- In Washington, DC, the expected base salary range for this role is $140,000 to $180,000 per year.
