Responsibilities
- The Manufacturing Specialist, Animal Care will support humane care and use of animals in production and research.
- This includes animal handling, husbandry activities, facility support, manufacturing activity, and treatment and identification of animal disease.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience
- Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
- Must be able to work a shift schedule that includes both Saturdays and Sundays or holidays on a rotating basis.
- Performs assigned tasks with supervision/guidance as required.
Nice to have
- Applicable college degree in relevant major such as Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Nursing, or related field is preferred
- AALAS Certification (ALAT, LAT, LATG) is helpful
- Experience with operating heavy farm equipment (e.g., skid steer, tractor) is preferred
