Responsibilities

  • The Manufacturing Specialist, Animal Care will support humane care and use of animals in production and research.
  • This includes animal handling, husbandry activities, facility support, manufacturing activity, and treatment and identification of animal disease.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years' experience
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to work a shift schedule that includes both Saturdays and Sundays or holidays on a rotating basis.
  • Performs assigned tasks with supervision/guidance as required.

Nice to have

  • Applicable college degree in relevant major such as Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Nursing, or related field is preferred
  • AALAS Certification (ALAT, LAT, LATG) is helpful
  • Experience with operating heavy farm equipment (e.g., skid steer, tractor) is preferred
