About the role

  • Eligible candidates hired into qualifying FULL-TIME positions at participating Kauaʻi clubhouses may qualify for a temporary monthly stipend.
  • Must reside 20+ miles from assigned clubhouse.
  • Helps to oversee LIT and YOY for their clubhouse including events related to YOY and LIT programming.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzes and reviews teen center's membership levels and average daily attendance and develops and implements strategies to increase membership and ADA including outreach.
  • Evaluates programming activity and regularly reviews impact. Implements, reviews and updates regularly action steps and program impro

  • Performs all other duties as necessary to ensure the success of programs under his/her jurisdiction.
  • Assumes the role of primary liaison to Teen Center for support staff, responsible for communications and planning, delegating as appropriate.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of two years' work experience in a youth-serving organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work with teens and youth, including "at-risk" youth.
  • Ability to work independently and well with others on a team.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer, using word processing, spreadsheet, and database management.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of agencies and community organizations.
  • Plans and takes actions required to obtain community and volunteer support.
  • Plans, implements and participates in special activities (i.e. field trips, camps, etc.) and travel as required.
  • Prepares and submits required written reports, letters, data tracking, memos, etc., on a timely basis, and in compliance with deadlines, to Clubhouse Director and/or Admin.
