About the role

  • Obtain demographic, criminal, and driving histories on offenders.
  • Meet with individuals to obtain background information and assess appropriate levels of supervision according to standards.
  • Explain terms of probation to individuals and make appropriate referrals consistent with court order.

Requirements

  • Consideration will be given to candidates receiving their degree within 90 days of application.
  • Knowledge of the community and its resources.
  • Ability to effectively organize time, set priorities, and work under stressful conditions.
  • Occasional regional travel is required to support district needs, attend training, and conduct community supervision field visits.
  • Associate degree in criminal justice, medical/laboratory, or a related area.
  • Or one year of experience as a drug technician or related position.

Compensation

  • Immediate Growth *: Earn a 2.5% pay increase after successfully completing your original probational period (if starting at Hiring Rate).
  • Starting Salary: $ 38,878.81 annually (Hiring Rate).
