About the role
- The Instructional Designer at Pref-Tech is responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving learning experiences that support employee performance and business outcomes.
- This role translates real-world job tasks, operational workflows, and competency requirements into practical, engaging learning solutions that can be immediately applied in the field.
- This position will collaborate closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), trainers, and leadership to ensure all learning materials are aligned with company standards, scalable across the organization, and designed to enhance employee capability and performance.
Requirements
- Proven ability to translate job tasks into effective training solutions
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- This position is primarily office-based and requires the ability to sit for extended periods, operate a computer and standard office equipment, and communicate effectively in person and electronically.
- Occasional light lifting (up to 15 lbs.) may be required.

- Work Hours & Travel:
- Our office hours are from Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some events may fall outside of these days/hours.
