About the role

  • Participate in implementation of classroom activities, indoor and outdoor play, snack provision (including allergy awareness and other dietary restrictions) including set-up/clean-up, maintenance, and safety considerations.
  • Model exemplary behavior with children, families, and colleagues

Responsibilities

  • The On-Call Preschool Teacher works collaboratively with all center team members to implement curriculum and lesson plans in the classroom while supporting our inclusive environment with an emphasis on cognition, behavior, social-emotional development, and kindergarten readiness.
  • Support of classroom teachers with all daily activities

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or job permit clearance
  • Ability to physically respond to children with special needs
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs. as needed
  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend frequently
  • Ability to sit and keyboard as needed\

Nice to have

  • Experience teaching children ages 0-5 years old preferred
  • Preferred 12+ core ECE units

Skills

  • Change diapers and assist with self-help skills in the restroom.
