Responsibilities
- Leads the BIOS/Firmware development and Validation teams
- Defines and drives overall BIOS/firmware development strategy, setting technical goals, priorities, and milestones.
- Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards
- Oversees the firmware engineering project team, along with development partners responsible for various stages of design and development.
- Leads system validation team with dedicated internal and external resources.
- Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with programs and roadmaps.
- Supports firmware related discussions and brings in experts to consult on a variety of product related and customer inquiries. Acts as overall firmware leader to provide perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
- Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the firmware development organization.
- Supports preparation and creation of instructional technical content related to firmware operation.
- Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
Requirements
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
Compensation
- The pay range for this role is $147,050 to $230,850 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only).
