About the role

  • This position will be primary coverage of the consult pager during daytime and occasional weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

  • In this role, the Per Diem Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner will work as an Orthopedic Surgical Consult APP to support the Orthopedic Oncology Surgical Service.
  • You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and be a driving force behind patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • Current New York State (NYS) RN and NP licenses with ability to treat pediatric patients
  • Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility)
  • Graduate from an accredited PA program
  • NCCPA certification
  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure
  • BLS certification/ACLS certification
  • Related National NP certification

Nice to have

  • E xperience in inpatient surgery, surgical consult management, perioperative care, and/or orthopedics is preferred
  • Experience in inpatient surgery, surgical consult management, perioperative care, and/or orthopedics is preferred

  • Hours: 12 hour per diem shifts flexed as needed.
  • Weekday (6a-6p), weekend (day shifts), and holiday coverage
  • Reports to: Manager, APP
  • Pay Rate: $88/hr.
