Responsibilities

Requirements

  • You work well under pressure.
  • You can balance multiple priorities while keeping calm and polite in a fast-paced environment.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a s ales and s ervice environment, including 6 months of general insurance experience, including travel and automobile insurance
  • Comfortable using technology, including working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Increase your industry knowledge and expertise to wards becoming a Senior Insurance Advisor within 12 months.
  • Level 1 Insurance license, with a commitment to secure your Level 2 Insurance license within your first 12 months of employment. BCAA will provide time and cover the cost.
  • Completion of Autoplan Essentials or a commitment to complete within your first 3 months. BCAA will provide time and cover the cost.
  • Limited history of Errors & Omissions and in good standing with the Insurance Council of BC.
  • Bonus qualifications! E xperience selling home insurance, knowledge of ICBC systems, and a bility to speak other languages aside from English.
  • During a typical day, you will:
  • Work with team members to recommend BCAA insurance products and services to current and new c ustomers to meet their needs. You'll help them secure and/or renew their policies by reviewing current coverage and making recommendations in person and over the phone.
  • Collaborate with BCAA Support Teams and Underwriting to assess and recommend the right coverage for our customers.
  • Achieve sales and productivity goals while upholding BCAA and AAA/CAA Member experience goals and u nderwriting guidelines.
  • M anage customer accounts and documentation, from processing payments to issuing new, renewal, endorsements and cancellations for Insurance policies, BCAA Memberships, and additional products and services.
  • Increase your industry knowledge and expertise to wards becoming a Senior Insurance Advisor within 12 months. You'll participate in BCAA's training courses, maintain annual licensing requirements and keep up to date with the latest processes, products and service offerings in the insurance industry in a supportive environment.

Nice to have
