About the role
- The Mechanical Engineering team at Form is focused on designing the battery cell, module, and full pack system that forms the foundation of our innovative utility-scale multi-day energy storage system.
- You will be responsible for defining program strategy, proactively identifying and mitigating technical roadblocks, and fostering cross-functional alignment between engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional mechanical design projects from concept through high-volume manufacturing, ensuring alignment with product architecture and performance requirements.
- Drive project schedules, identifying critical path risks and implementing mitigation strategies to keep programs on track.
- Facilitate effective communication between engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure design for cost and manufacturability (DFM) objectives are met.
- Lead the coordination of first-of-a-kind build activities and system integration efforts, serving as the central point of contact for mechanical system implementation.
- Manage prototyping efforts and support engineering teams in building and verifying analytical models to validate system designs.
- Demonstrated experience navigating ambiguity and leading cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions on aggressive timelines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering data and guide decision-making on design trade-offs.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technical program management, with a strong background in mechanical engineering or complex system development.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's or MBA preferred).
