About the role

  • The Tailor/Seamstress is responsible for performing high-quality alterations on luxury men's and women's garments, ensuring all work is completed accurately, professionally, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Perform expert alterations on men's and women's garments, including suits, sport coats, blazers, shirts, dresses, trousers, and other apparel.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor in all interactions with clients and team members.
  • Press finished garments, remove loose threads, perform quality inspections, and prepare items for client delivery.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of tailoring experience in a retail, custom clothing, or customer-service environment
  • Strong knowledge of men's and women's garment construction
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Complete and maintain all required paperwork and production records related to daily assignments.
  • This role requires a strong understanding of garment construction, fabric characteristics, and tailoring techniques, combined with excellent craftsmanship and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform high-quality alterations by both hand and machine
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
