About the role

A custom foam manufacturer serving the medical, aerospace, automotive, industrial, and electronics markets is looking for a Sales Engineer with a chemical engineering background.
This position combines hands-on technical problem-solving with direct customer engagement.
Success in this role depends on carefully understanding what the customer actually needs and shaping that into a real, manufacturable outcome.

Own and develop relationships with key customer accounts, addressing both technical and commercial priorities
Collaborate with engineering, estimating, manufacturing, and customer service teams to deliver timely and accurate quotes
Continuously develop expertise in foam materials, their applications, and evolving industry trends

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a similar technical field

Prior experience in technical sales, application engineering, or a customer-facing technical role
Understanding of polyurethane foam, polymer science, or materials chemistry in real-world applications
Experience working for a smaller or mid-sized manufacturing organization

Function as the go-between for customers and manufacturing, turning customer requirements into feasible production plans
