Responsibilities
- Acts as the technical lead for all sizes of projects, including having interaction related to all technical tasks associated with the project.
- Support the South Region Stormwater Team and multi-discipline project teams from the concept, final design, and construction phases; start-up, and operations of facilities.
- Supports Project Manager with and/or directly manages the financial and technical delivery of project tasks including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Lead detailed design projects, including the creation of contract documents (i.e., plan sets and specifications), hydraulic and hydrologic calculations, report writing, and other activities needed to support the planning, design, and construction services for stormwater management facilities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations and training programs to internal and external clients and professional associations.
- Support business development efforts under the direction of a client manager to provide technical support and guidance to a range of clients.
- Provide input on the development of Woodard & Curran design guidelines and standards.
- You will have staff to mentor and clients to support.
- Our skilled team of engineers, as well as our integrated operations professionals and Fiscal Solutions team, will support you in delivering exceptional solutions to our clients.
- You will be an active participant in our delivery system improvement programs and help lead Practice initiatives.
Requirements
- The selected candidate will primarily lead and support the engineering on municipal stormwater projects, however experience with drinking water, wastewater, and industrial wastewater applications is valuable.
- Candidate will lead the technical delivery of multiple projects and must be familiar with local regulators and must also be able to support marketing and proposal efforts, as appropriate.
- 15+ years of engineering experience relating to stormwater and flood resiliency projects.
- A B.S. Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Experience with development of Storm Drain Master Plans including conditions assessments, establishment of level of service and estimating costs for capital projects and the O&M of stormwater systems.
- Proficiency with GIS tools and applications.
- Proficiency with other hydrologic/hydraulic and water quality modeling software.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to coach, mentor, and train individuals.
