About the role

  • This includes designing sheet metals, tubes, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Engineering customer orders: Perform capacity calculations, refrigeration component selection, and create detailed designs for special orders using AutoCAD and Solid Edge.
  • From the smallest unit to the very largest, KeepRite Refrigeration brings experience and commitment to the refrigeration industry - beginning with the product design and engineering, and continuing through manufacturing, sales and aftermarket support.
  • Create and manage engineering BOMs for designated product lines, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely release to the production/manufacturing department.
  • Work with manufacturing and production teams to optimize material usage and assembly processes, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Conduct heat transfer and fluid dynamics calculations, select and design new components and parts, optimize costs, and develop new products, including creating drawings and BOMs.
  • Perform lab tests, select or design lab equipment, and set up testing equipment as needed.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • We're currently seeking an enthusiastic Refrigeration Design Engineer to join our engineering group.
  • You will collaborate closely with industrial engineering, production, and lab teams to ensure efficiency and resolve issues related to customer orders.

Nice to have

  • 3+ years of experience working with sheet metal design

Skills

  • Mechanical Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the use of 2-D and 3-D CAD software
  • Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems and components, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
  • Commercial refrigeration experience is a strong asset.
  • Background in refrigeration or related fields is highly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant computer software
