About the role

  • Mangrove is seeking an exceptional individual to play a key role in their multidisciplinary engineering team.
  • This role is based in Vancouver/Delta, BC.
  • Provide technical leadership during feasibility studies, FEED, detailed engineering, commissioning, and ramp-up.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate mass and energy balances, heat transfer models, and process flow diagrams (PFDs/P&IDs).
  • Support integration between pyrometallurgical and hydrometallurgical plant sections.
  • Drive process efficiency improvements, including energy consumption reduction and heat recovery systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Metallurgical, Mechanical, or a related field)
  • 7-10 years of experience in pyrometallurgy, preferably in lithium processing.
  • Registered Professional Engineer within Canada/US, or the ability to readily become one.
  • Experience with designing complex metallurgical flowsheets for pyrometallurgical operations, such as crushing, preheating, calcining, milling, mixing, roasting, process off-gas treatment, and material handling.
  • Familiarity with process simulation software (SysCAD, Aspen) would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of acid plants and electrochemical plants would be an asset.
