About the role

  • Assumes responsibility for tasks or procedures as assigned.
  • Reviews patient identification, orders, and history to ensure correct patient, procedure, imaging site, Protocols procedure with radiologist as needed.
  • Transports patients to and from the exam room and assists them into position using safe patient handling techniques and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of a radiologist, this position performs diagnostic/therapeutic procedures, requiring independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
  • Performs data entry operations using appropriate hospital software package.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains an orderly, clean and safe environment of patients and staff in assigned area.

Requirements

  • Associates in from an accredited NLN/CCNE or ARRT Vocational/Specialized Training Required
  • ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Certification Valid and current Required
  • Radiologic Technologist - License Certified Valid and current AZ State Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Required
  • Performs and documents all required quality control testing.
  • Administers contrast materials as required.
  • Obtains and evaluates images for technical quality assurance factors including image laterality marking and annotation as required by IR procedure protocols.

  • Other Radiology experience Required
  • ARRT-American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
  • Certification Valid and current Required
  • Radiologic Technologist
  • License Certified Valid and current AZ State Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license Required
  • ARRT-Vascular Intervention
  • Certification Valid and current Arizona state licensed ARRT Preferred or
  • ARRT-Radiography
