About the role
- Join our team as a Scrap Crane Operator and play a key role in keeping yard operations running efficiently.
- In this position, you will be responsible for sorting scrap materials, loading trucks and balers, and operating E-crane or crawler crane equipment to ensure smooth material flow across the yard.
Responsibilities
- Maintain material flow by cleaning out scrap spreads
- Support continuous improvement efforts across yard operations
Requirements
- Must be able to meet the physical demands outlined in the Job Analysis Database
Nice to have
- 2 plus year's experience operating mobile or crawler cranes (Liebherr, Sennebogen or Link-Belt)
- Knowledge of scrap metal types and grading
- Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Basic math, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow and communicate instructions clearly
- Ability to meet physical requirements (with or without reasonable accommodation)
- High School Diploma or GED
