About the role
- JOB TITLE: Machine Programmer Reports To: Fabrication Manager Summary: The Machine Programmer reports to the Fabrication Manager and is responsible for manufacturing various metal components used in the creation of our storage solutions.
- Ensure raw material utilization is optimized and work with production to contribute to router, bill of material, and material quality accuracy.
- Ability to read and understand measurement devices including tape measure, caliper, and various gauges to interpret drawings provided by Engineering department.
Responsibilities
- I nput, modify, and manage UNEX CNC product programs in computer software with assistance from Engineering department.
- Perform regular maintenance of machine and work with Maintenance department on upkeep of machine operating systems.
- Perform other job-related duties, which may include occasional tasks outside the normal scope of your job.

Requirements
- Two year Associates Degree /Engineering Experience p referred;
- Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, sit and stand.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- or one to three months related experience and/or training
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Database Software (knowledge of Odoo a plus) Manufacturing Software, CAD experience, familiarity with 3D Modeling software and working knowledge in Excel.
- Use of hand tools and mechanical abilities to perform work assignment s.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, sit and stand. The employee is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 5 0 pounds.
