About the role
- The Springer Journals, Medicine & Life Sciences group is seeking a new Executive Publisher in the New York office to manage and develop the North American society journal portfolio.
- The Executive Publisher drives the strategic growth, performance, and editorial development of a journal portfolio, while managing and developing a high‑performing team and fostering strong relationships with editors, partners, and research communities.
Responsibilities
- Lead & Develop a High‑Performing Team
- Build a positive, engaged, and developmental team environment.
- support performance and resolve issues.
- Drive Editorial & Portfolio Strategy
- Deliver journals with strong author experience and strong engagement from editors/EBMs.
- Develop and implement portfolio strategies aligned with wider priorities and market trends.
- Develop tactics to acquire and retain high‑quality content.
- Build strong relationships with EiCs, EBMs, peer reviewers, and research communities.
Compensation
- This role is eligible for an annual performance-related bonus plan.
- The salary offer may vary based on work experience, education, skill level, and equity.
- The US salary range does not align with the salary ranges in other countries when converted to the currency of that country.
