About the role
- Job Description BECOME A US FOODS® BACKHAUL DRIVER!
- Backhaul Drivers bump docks and earn $33/HR US Foods is one of the largest food distributors with a culture and history of promoting from within, excellent training programs and a continuous improvement focus.
- Tasks would include unloading and customer deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive truck to vendors and company drop-off sites
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection
- May be called upon to perform duties of Rescues or Delivery Driver.
Requirements
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) required
- Must be able to perform coupling procedures for the Tractor/Trailer
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
- Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required
- Willingness to travel 2-3 times per week required
- Verify freight on truck, required trailer temperatures and accuracy of freight with vendors
