About the role
- Area of responsibility includes, Hematology, Oncology, Bone Marrow Transplant clinics, the Day Hospital, and the Infusion Center.
- Demonstrates competency in performance of all aspects of nursing.
- Contributes to attaining long range objectives for the MACC Fund Center Service Line including, but not limited to: financial goals, operations improvement, quality improvement, resource utilization and clinical practice enhancements.
Responsibilities
- Performs essential nursing functions. Demonstrates competency in performance of all aspects of nursing.
- Manages the MACC Fund Center Ambulatory staff including recruitment, staffing, employee relations, performance evaluation and management, training and orientation, approval of time including PPL requests, and compliance to department and system policies.
- Supervises professional, administrative and technical personnel (pediatric nurses, nurse clinicians, clinic assistants and support staff) providing patient care.
Requirements
- 2+ years experience with demonstrated knowledge of general clinical operations and standards of nursing practice required
- Analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills required to assess complex systems, implement and monitor systems.
- License RN-Registered Nurse (30) - State of Wisconsin required

- Participates in budget planning and responds to monthly variances.
- Primarily accountable leader to identify and utilize staff and supply resources appropriate to the requirements of patient care.
- Oversees ambulatory clinical care delivery.
- Supervises patient care activities and assures adequate nursing staffing to meet patient care needs.
- Primarily accountable leader to respond to variations in patient volume and acuity.
- Works with Ambulatory and Inpatient nurses, staff, and providers to assure seamless care for patients transferred between outpatient and inpatient care settings.
- Proactively trends system issues, identifies solutions and works with unit leadership team to continually improve systems.
- Promotes staff development and growth.
