About the role
- Essential Functions Extract data from aircraft test media and other approved data sources.
- Gather and organize data for engineering, technical, operational, and management reporting purposes.
- Assist in the maintenance, inventory control, and accountability of computer equipment and associated peripherals.
Responsibilities
- The Computer Operator II supports the processing, management, and delivery of engineering and test data products in support of aircraft and mission systems programs.
- The position also supports computer operations, data handling activities, equipment inventory, troubleshooting, and operational support functions.
- Organize, monitor, and maintain computer input, output, and data processing workflows.
- Provide support for troubleshooting operational hardware, software, and data processing issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Provide technical support related to operational computer systems and data processing activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of contract and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Experience processing, managing, organizing, or distributing digital data products.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work under deadlines while maintaining data accuracy and quality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard computer operating environments.
- Previous experience supporting Navy, DoD, aviation, flight test, or engineering organizations.
Nice to have
- Associate degree, vocational/technical training, military training, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Operations, Data Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
Skills
- Experience working with computer systems, data management tools, or integrated software applications.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
