Responsibilities

  • AMT is growing and is seeking a highly motivated Water Resources Project Manager to lead water resources design a projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
  • The Water Resources Project Manager will manage AMT engineers and scientists, interface directly with clients and be responsible for task and budget management.
  • This position will involve field and office work primarily in Maryland and Virginia, evaluating existing conditions, conducting functional assessments, developing restoration design solutions, preparing construction documents, obtaining permits, and overseeing environmental construction.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience including Management of a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology or Hydrogeomorphology.
  • Ability to prepare engineering studies and reports.
  • Ability to mentor junior staff and delegate tasks efficiently.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Microstation, and ArcGIS software.
  • Hydrology, hydraulics, geomorphology and stream design experience.
  • Geomorphologic, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling capabilities related to stream, wetland, stormwater, and floodplains.
  • Rosgen or other stream assessment and design training.
  • Natural stream channel and wetland creation design experience.
  • Experience developing task proposals, labor estimates, and pursuit of new projects.
  • Ability to prepare engineering design plans, specifications and cost estimates.
  • Communication skills to provide assistance with supervising engineering work and client care

Nice to have

  • PE or other license preferred but not required.
