About the role

  • The Manager of Desktop Engineering is a hands-on technical position, responsible for the delivery, reliability, and ongoing improvement of the firm's end user computing platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain engineering standards for builds, configurations, deployments, scripting, and documentation
  • Drive improvements in efficiency and quality through automation and tooling (e.g., PowerShell, Intune capabilities)
  • Partner with Information Security to implement and sustain:
  • Support internal, regulatory, and audit requirements related to endpoint environments
  • End User Support to improve supportability and reduce recurring issues
  • Training and Knowledge teams to support documentation and user readiness
  • Support structured testing and pilot programs for platform changes and upgrades

Requirements

  • Strong experience with enterprise end user computing and desktop engineering platforms
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Seven or more years of experience in desktop engineering, endpoint management, or end user computing roles in an enterprise environment
  • Experience supporting OS upgrades, security initiatives, and platform modernization efforts

Nice to have

  • Prior responsibility for platform or service ownership strongly preferred
  • Relevant technical certifications preferred but not required
  • Project management skills and experience coordinating technical workstreams a plus
