About the role
- two days on, two days off, three days on, followed by two days off, two days on, and three days off.
- Team members will work every other weekend, including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
- They are knowledgeable of all production lines and equipment and have the ability to troubleshoot and repair or replace equipment throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment, facility structures, grounds and utilities
- Perform work order repairs, preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, equipment rebuilds, replacements and adjustments
- job purpose: The Maintenance Technician provides key support for the production manufacturing facility.
- Responsible for completing work orders, carrying out preventative maintenance schedules, and the installation of new equipment among other tasks including day-to-day maintenance of facility grounds, building structures and utilities.
Requirements
- Protective safety equipment may be required including, but not limited to: hearing protection, bump caps, hair and beard nets, shoes, gloves, hardhat, and safety eyewear as needed.
- Notify supervision of any repairs or adjustments that are required that may affect product quality or food safety.
- Ability to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of nonconformities relating to Food Safety and the Quality of the product, processes, quality system, or safety system.
- In the event of absence, another employee with the same skill level will assume the duties and responsibilities as required.
- skills/qualifications required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent and familiarity with above equipment required
- At least 3 years' experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanics and basic electrical repair
