About the role

  • You'll also be accountable for **expanding** Stack - our agentic accounting product - into the tax automation domain, to automate the work of CPAs.
  • You will define and execute a strategy that will unlock new markets for Ramp and help us save our customers even more time and money.
  • Please note that this role requires in-person presence at our NYC or SF office at least 2 days/week.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of finance teams, tax leaders, accountants, and CPAs, then translate their most painful manual workflows into focused product bets.
  • Partner with engineering and data science to ship AI systems that are reliable in production, with clear evaluation methods, quality metrics, feedback loops, fallbacks, and human-in-the-loop controls.
  • Design for trust in a regulated domain through explainability, auditability, source traceability, graceful degradation, and clear user controls.
  • Translate complex and changing tax rules into scalable product, data, and platform capabilities that can support new geographies, entities, and product lines.
  • Lead high-velocity execution with engineers and designers, balancing product intuition with customer evidence, data, and rapid iteration.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment on dependencies and launch readiness, including Finance, Legal, Security, CX, Sales, compliance review, customer communication, and supportability.
  • Minimum 5 years of product management or adjacent product-building experience.
  • Strong product judgment and first-principles thinking across complex workflows, data products, integrations, and user experiences that drive real decisions.

Requirements

  • Experience with financial products, payments, accounting software, ERPs, or data integrations that support tax workflows.

Nice to have

  • Fluency with experimentation and product metrics, plus strong instincts for when qualitative customer discovery is required.
