About the role

Responsibilities
- Design, code, and develop new backend applications/services running in AWS
- Optimize and refactor existing services to improve reliability, scalability and to lower cost
- Collaborate effectively with teammates, contributing to an innovative environment of technical excellence.
- Provide production and integration support for shared technology across Zynga game
- Experience in object-oriented design of applications/systems
Requirements
- Degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering) or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Experience in programming RESTful services using Java
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with caching (Valkey) and database systems (RDS / SQL, NoSQL)
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools
- Experience working with external groups/teams on technical implementations and procedures
- Experience working with AI tools

Compensation
- The pay range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $99,800 and $147,680 CAD per Year.
