Requirements
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Required Document Attachments:
- This position requires a Masters in Nursing/Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner from an accredited college/university, a current Nurse Practitioner certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and at least one year of experience in a general clinic situation, preferably a physician practice. Candidate must provide a certificate of current liability insurance coverage. Experience working in a family practice setting is a plus as is prescription authority from the DEA.
- Competent in providing Basic Life Support (with current certification).
- Must possess the ability to provide overall care including: Developing treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases
- Educating and guiding patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits
- Emphasizing preventative care and disease management
- Managing overall patient care regarding lifestyle and development issues.
- Has prescriptive authority by using our MD's DEA or has their own DEA.
- Able to work as a team player with clinic colleagues and department as a whole.

Skills
- Exam and Evaluates patient signs/symptoms and initiates treatment as indicated within their scope of practice.
- Must possess the ability to provide overall care including:
- Refers patients to appropriate medical/health care specialists when indicated.
- Possesses strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Microsoft Office Applications and intermediate computer skills and experience or ability to utilize EMR (Athena).
