About the role

  • The Residential Technician is responsible for assisting and carrying out a variety of clinical and program services.
  • This person plays an essential role in the assurance of the admitting process, orientation to new clients and overall client management.
  • Receives clinical supervision from Technician Supervisor and Program Director.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates assigned groups/meetings/activities and documents observations/milieu interventions in client records/shift log during every shift/group.
  • Work schedule includes assignments to support clients in 24 x 7 facility.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Listens carefully to understand the issues and provides accurate information and support.
  • Embraces change by keeping an open mind to changing plans and incorporates change instructions into own area of work

Requirements

  • Demonstrated sufficient understanding in the process of dependency/addiction and knowledge of available recovery resources and their use(s).
  • Knowledge and experience with KIPU
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of conditions that affect safety and reports unsafe conditions to the appropriate person or department.
  • Work is performed both sedentary and weight-bearing activities - no special demands are required.
  • The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.

Nice to have

  • Minimum of a high school diploma (college degree preferred).

  • Maintain and pass annual background and TB screening, as well as random drug screening.
