About the role
- The Institute for Plant-Human Interface (IPHI) in the College of Science at Northeastern University advances fundamental plant biology and applies these discoveries to improve human health, agriculture, and sustainability.
- Located in Boston's biotechnology hub, IPHI fosters interdisciplinary collaboration in areas such as plant-derived therapeutics, climate-resilient crops, AI-enabled plant science, and sustainable biomanufacturing.
- The Lab Technician will analyze experimental data, address methodological problems in experimental protocols and results, and report data to the Principal Investigator.
Responsibilities
- Document, compile, and assist in interpreting experimental data. Report data to supervisor in oral and written reports.
- Assist the PI or other Project Manager in determining the order of research processes that best support essential project goals.
- The Lab Technician will perform bench-level experiments and small independent research projects to support the Institute's scientific research objectives.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required in Biology or a field directly related to the work.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong organizational skills required.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in basic lab techniques required.
- Knowledge of principles of molecular biology and various scientific databases and publications preferred.

- With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
