About the role

We're looking for a seasoned Staff Software Engineer to serve as a technical leader and mentor for our growing product engineering team.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the architecture, engineering culture, and product direction of a rapidly scaling company from the ground up.

Partner with Product, Design, another other stakeholders to understand customer needs and design the right solutions for them.
Lead the design and implementation of major product and platform changes across Glade's software stack.
Continually raise the bar for the engineering organization by providing technical oversight and mentorship, building tooling, and improving engineering processes.
Operate fluently across the full product lifecycle from design and implementation to production.
Care deeply about the end user experience and take pride in building products to solve customer needs.
Own problems end-to-end, and are willing to pick up whatever knowledge you're missing to get the job done.

You'll lead a team of software engineers, driving innovation and ensuring the team delivers high-impact, scalable, and elegant solutions.

8+ years of software engineering experience, with significant time in leadership or staff/principal roles.
Have a strong understanding of engineering principles, industry best practices, and emerging technologies with our technology stack: TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL
Have meaningful experience with building (and rebuilding) production systems to deliver new product capabilities and to handle increasing scale.
