About the role
- Diesel Service Tech/Mechanic Our client, a family-owned truck repair is an operated Union Diesel Repair Shop serving the St.
- Currently being run by the 4th generaon of Schroeders.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components and operational mechanisms
- Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
- Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic soware
- Consulting the customer and reading work orders to evaluate the tasks required
Nice to have
- At least 4 years of diesel or heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience. (Preferred)
- Advanced knowledge of a vehicle, its electrical system, and the mechanisms of a diesel engine (Hi rail and hydraulic knowledge is Preferred)
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics (MaxxTraxx knowledge is preferred)
- A valid driver's license
- Must have CDL -B (CDL-A strongly preferred)
Compensation
- Paid vacation (5 days aer first anniversary) & holidays (9 days per year)
