Responsibilities
- Hire, develop, and grow engineering talent by providing career development support, actionable feedback, and performance reviews
- Lead team execution, ceremonies, and strategic roadmap planning, ensuring strong alignment across engineering, product, and operations
- Partner closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and operations teams to define requirements that support real-world Ambassador workflows
- Build and evolve systems that power real-time, in-person service experiences, balancing speed, reliability, and ease of use
- Drive engineering and operational excellence through ownership of performance, reliability, and usability metrics
- Experienced across the full software development lifecycle, including coding, architecture, and system design
- Strong communicator who can translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional partners and earn their trust
- Proficient in modern object-oriented languages, design patterns, and engineering best practices
- Experienced in building cloud-native applications and scalable distributed systems
- Drive engineering and operational excellence through ownership of performance, reliability, and usability metrics; champion best practices in testing, documentation, and observability
Requirements
- This individual will have a track record of delivering well-architected, highly-available platforms that enable both operational excellence and rapid innovation.
- 3+ years of experience managing and developing software engineers, with strong coaching and team leadership skills
Compensation
- This range represents the combined base salary, annual bonus incentive, and new hire equity package (in Restricted Stock Units) for this position at CLEAR.
