About the role
- The Banner is a nonprofit, digital local news organization focused on strengthening the Baltimore region through independent, high-quality journalism.
- In this role, you will help leaders understand the financial picture behind the work.
- This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budget planning.
- Assist with the Power BI migration, including, but not limited to, building dashboards and maintaining data accuracy and security.
- Ability to establish priorities, manage competing responsibilities, and communicate with appropriate stakeholders to establish reasonable deadlines.

Requirements
- Create ad hoc analyses and collaborate with executives and other senior managers as required.
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Moderate to advanced Power BI experience required.
Nice to have
- Master's degree in business or a related field preferred.

- Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by several factors including experience, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
