About the role

This position will assist in ensuring the operational integrity and regulatory compliance of the data center electrical, mechanical, plumbing, control and fire life safety systems is maintained.
This position will also be responsible to carry out the duties and the processes that maximize customer uptime in the most cost-effective way.

Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in multiple facility systems and areas to include: Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing, Fire Life Safety, and Building Monitoring and Control.
Perform data trending / tracking and learn to analyze the data.
Develop technical writing skills in regard to the research & development of procedures for conducting operations and /or supporting preventative or corrective maintenance activities.

Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required equipment, as well as to operate computer keyboard, mouse, and other technical instruments.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience, professional expertise acquired, or relevant work associated with the operation, maintenance and testing of electrical and/or mechanical systems and equipment.
Job-related experience must be relevant for position.
Required: Have technical abilities applicable to data center operations, as well as innovative cross functional thinking.
Desired but not required: Entry level knowledge of NEC, NFPA 70E, NFPA 72, NFPA 25, and compliance issues, as well as building codes in regard to fire life safety requirements.
Desired but not required: Entry level knowledge in industrial safety best practices (i.e. lockout/tag out, arc flash protection, OSHA and state regulations).
Required: Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work in a high stress, fast paced environment with shifting priorities
Ability to respond to emergency situations at the data center
Ability to communicate effectively with verbal, visual and listening skills & good problem-solving skills.
