About the role

  • - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
  • - 4 years of experience working in a hardware development lab technical environment, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end system integration testing by defining system configurations and drive the development of test automation to facilitate system performance, design reliability and failure reproduction.
  • Design network, power and cooling infrastructure for end-to-end system testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience working in a hardware development lab technical environment, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 3 years of experience with Linux and software scripting languages (i.e., Python).
  • Experience with hardware evaluation methodologies, including lab measurements, performance monitoring, test automation, and data analysis.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Linux or other Unix operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu or RHEL) and shell scripts.
  • Understanding of computer systems: physical, functional, logical, mechanical, electrical, software, thermal etc.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings such as schematics, datasheets, and written work instructions.
  • hardware and software technologies that power all of Google's services.
  • You will see those systems from concept all the way through to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Drive development of test software and infrastructure required for managing a fleet of test systems at scale to avoid manual configuration and test execution.
  • Provide integrated Software (SW) to synchronize test execution on Device-under-Test (DUT) with external smart measurement instrumentation.
  • Contribute within a team of hardware/software designers, test engineers, on project planning within hardware development labs, ensuring adequate resources are met as required.

Compensation

  • US: $159000 - $230000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
