About the role

  • This role typically involves greater responsibility than a standard research assistant, including mentoring junior staff, managing parts of research projects, and ensuring compliance with research protocols.
  • This is a full-time position working out of our Reston, VA office.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, planning, and execution of research studies or experiments.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain quantitative and qualitative research data.
  • Conduct literature reviews and summarize findings to support research objectives.
  • Support the preparation of manuscripts and publications.
  • Manage research documentation, databases, and study records.
  • The Senior Research Assistant supports the research team and projects by coordinating study activities, collecting and analyzing data, maintaining documentation, and assisting with publications.
  • Ability to manage multiple research tasks and deadlines.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of research experience or equivalent experience in a research environment.
  • Candidates must be able to work regular office hours Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
  • Required Qualifications

Nice to have

  • Experience working on research projects.
  • Experience with research ethics protocols (IRB or equivalent).
  • Prior experience supervising or training research staff.
  • Publication or contribution to academic or industry research outputs.
