About the role
- Supervises and coordinates the safety, activities, production, workforce, processes, and outcomes of the department.
- Meet or exceed company daily goal Value Added Service shipping volume for outbound.
- Responsible for the accuracy and punctuality of all shipments.
Responsibilities
- You will provide leadership support to the shipping department and support the operations departments as needed.
- Set objections and ensure pallet area are fully staffed and associates are focused on building orders to set up for outbound.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years' experience with facility maintenance in a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation.
- 1 to 2 years' experience in a leadership role or similar role
- Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, WMS system experience, similar or same supply chain software being used currently at the site
- Experience with automated and manual operations in a distribution center
- Studies bills of lading, customer orders (pick tickets), and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments & shipping methods required to meet shipping schedules.
