About the role

  • We're looking for a Senior Optical Test Engineer to lead the testing and qualification of fiber-optic connectors and ferrules.
  • You'll partner with Product Management, Applications and Development Engineering, Manufacturing, and our customers to ensure new products hit performance, reliability, and cost targets.
  • This is a senior, independent role for an engineer who can define test strategy, lead investigations, and mentor others.

Responsibilities

  • Lead optical and mechanical testing programs for new product development and qualification, defining technical approach and test strategy with minimal supervision
  • Lead red-flag and predictive testing to assess product performance and qualification risk
  • collaborate with design engineers through design iterations
  • maintain project schedules and stakeholder updates

Requirements

  • Required Skills & Experience

Nice to have

  • Working knowledge of fiber optic connectors, ferrules, assemblies, and optical test methods
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or technical staff
  • Technical publication, conference presentation, or patent contribution experience
  • Collaborative, team-based culture that fuels innovation
  • Community engagement and STEM outreach opportunities
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (Mechanical, Materials, or Chemical Engineering preferred)
