Responsibilities
- Drive algorithm development and implementation in spatial audio, psychoacoustics, and other audio related fields including HRTF (capture, synthesis, personalization), Ambisonics, loudspeaker rendering, and more
- Develop requirements based on research or user input and assist with platform integration
- Collaborate with international counterparts to contribute to PlayStation's Tempest 3D Audio technology and our greater audio ecosystem
- Our role at SIE is to create and nurture the experiences under the PlayStation brand, a name synonymous with entertainment excellence and creativity.
- You will drive the design and implementation of technology used for 3D audio, hardware DSP, and virtual reality.
- The software you develop here is the foundation of an SDK for industry leading game and content developers and will change the way audio is used worldwide.
Requirements
- 5 years or more of digital signal processing experience
- Experience as a technical contributor to a project involving spatial audio
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Nice to have
- Basic source control experience (git)
- Knowledge of audio production tools and software (e.g. Reaper, VST Development)
- Embedded systems development
- Graphics or GPU programming experience
- ML/AI modeling and training experience
