About the role
- Working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams, the Project Engineer assists in tracking production, managing project data, coordinating materials and subcontractors, and maintaining accurate project documentation.
- Here's what your day-to-day will look like:
- Coordinate purchase orders and material procurement with vendors
Responsibilities
- Support project managers and superintendents across all phases of construction
- Perform real-time cost control and identify budget deviations early
- Analyze daily schedules and progress reports to maintain project alignment
- Review field data for accuracy and support estimating and planning teams
- Lead internal 3WLA meetings and ensure stakeholder alignment
- Maintain and organize site documentation (plans, specs, permits, logs)
- Enforce company safety protocols and maintain project compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (Required)
- Proficiency in Heavy Job, Foundation, Primavera P6, and Procore
- Experience & Language Skills:
Skills
- Minimum 1 year of field experience in civil construction
- Knowledge of underground utility, highway, and site development practices
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English sufficiently to communicate with supervisors, clients, inspectors, and project personnel.
- Budget tracking, cost control, and schedule analysis
- Strong technical writing and document control
- Communication and coordination with multi-disciplinary teams
- Problem-solving under pressure and meeting strict deadlines
