About the role

  • Conduct routine inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommend corrective actions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and quality issues. Prepare reports summarizing findings and recommend corrective actions.
  • Investigate quality issues and non-conformances. Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection and testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable measurements.
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to resolve quality-related issues and implement process improvements.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Provides support with continuous improvement and/or vendor selection training.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using inspection and testing equipment, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and quality management systems (QMS).
  • Experience with root cause analysis and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Previous experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in use of Oracle software.

Nice to have

  • Manufacturing plant with exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and machinery.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for using gauges and measuring instruments.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods during inspections.
  • Associate degree in quality management, quality assurance, manufacturing, or another related field is preferred.
