About the role
- Our mission is to abstract the complexity of both public cloud providers (such as Azure) and on-prem deployments (Frontier AI Lab), enabling our developers to move faster, ship more reliably, and operate at a lower cost.
Responsibilities
- Drive Product Strategy: Own the roadmap for our internal services and platforms, including Core Compute (Kubernetes), Networking (Service Mesh/Istio), extensive in-house storage primitives (Postgres, Redis/Valkey, Kafka, CRDB, etc.), DevEx/Observab/Costs platforms,, Data and ML platforms, Security Platform.
- Champion Developer Velocity: Reduce friction by building and maintaining best-in-class developer experiences, including monorepo build systems and automated release pipelines.
- Enforce Reliability: Define and implement reliability standards across our stack to ensure high uptime and system stability for groups operating on our infrastructure.
- Optimize for Efficiency: Build and manage tools for cost attribution and optimization to ensure our infrastructure scales efficiently with our business.
- Collaborate at Scale: Work closely with engineering leadership to align product development with long-term technical architecture.
- Data-driven decision-making: Comfort with metrics such as SLOs, adoption, and cost efficiency, and a track record of using them to drive prioritization.
- Atoms is building the machines that power the next era of progress.
- Atoms builds Physical AI- real-world robots for the industries that move civilization forward, starting with food, mining, and transport.
- Our systems are designed to understand, predict, and control the real world with precision, turning complex physical operations into something more reliable, more scalable, and more productive.
- We don't just build machines in a lab.
Requirements
- Communication across altitudes: The ability to go deep with engineers on architecture while also articulating the business value of infrastructure investments to executive stakeholders.
Compensation
- The base salary range for this role is $224,000 - $284,000 per year.
Benefits
- Base salary is just one part of your total rewards package.

Company info
- Over the last decade, software has transformed the digital world. But the physical world, where food is made, minerals are mined, goods are moved, and industries are run, remains far less intelligent, far less efficient, and far more constrained. We're changing that.

- This work requires more than robotics. It requires deep integration across hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate. We don't just build machines in a lab. We deploy them into real environments, operate them, learn from them, and improve them until they work at scale.
- We are roboticists, engineers, operators, and builders.
- We believe the next great technology companies will not only transform information, but the physical systems that shape everyday life.
