About the role
- This role helps make sure students are nourished, welcomed, and connected through Shabbat dinners, holiday meals, student programs, brunches, and special events.
- This is a part-time, in-person position based at the Burack Hillel Center on the University of Vermont campus.
- This is a part-time, non-exempt hourly position averaging approximately 20 to 25 hours per week during the academic year.
Responsibilities
- Kitchen and Meal Support
- Support meals that meet common dietary needs, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and allergy-sensitive options.
- Maintain food, paper goods, cookware, serving supplies, cleaning supplies, and kitchen equipment inventory.
- Maintain Hillel's kosher kitchen standards and procedures.
- Facility and Building Support
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the Burack Hillel Center.
Requirements
- Regular availability on Friday afternoons and early evenings is required for Shabbat preparation and dinner.
