About the role

  • The Associate will serve as an integral member of the Audax Private Debt investment team, supporting the underwriting of new first lien senior secured loan investments and the ongoing monitoring of portfolio companies across Audax Private Debt portfolios.
  • This role offers broad exposure to the entire investment lifecycle, including transaction evaluation, due diligence, financial modeling, deal execution, portfolio management, and investment committee processes.

Responsibilities

  • Build, review, and maintain complex financial models, including forecasting, leverage, liquidity, and downside analyses.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 4 years of experience in investment banking, direct lending, private credit, structured credit, leveraged finance, or a related field.
  • Ability to assess the credit quality and risk profile of potential investments.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

  • Required Experience
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in investment banking, direct lending, private credit, structured credit, leveraged finance, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and utilizing detailed financial models.
  • LBO/ sponsor transaction exposure
  • Skills & Competencies
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation experience.
  • Strong work ethic and demonstrated desire to learn and develop professionally.
  • Strong academic record.

Nice to have

  • Experience analyzing leveraged transactions and corporate credit risk preferred.
  • Experience with credit committee exposure and investment memo preparation preferred.

Compensation

  • The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000.
  • The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end for this position at the time of this posting.
  • An employee may also be eligible for annual discretionary incentive compensation based on performance.
